Alright I'm just gonna start buying parts i think it is maybe pnp and maybe the pcv while I'm at it. Neither have been changed in 200k. I've gotten tranny flushes done less than a year ago and while it made it better the problem apparently hasn't left. If not this trip maybe your next trip down to Texas we can work together on my car. I already have a bunch of suspensions parts just sitting in my house lol.

Robert, if you are passing through Philadelphia, please consider helping me. I need to do a timing belt and PCV service in my 98 V70 base. I can arrange to have all parts on hand, garage to work in, and I can happily donate some money to you as a gift for your time. If you think it's at all possible, PM me. Been driving my gf's car, just can't work up the courage to do this on my own - plus can't afford to have a shop do it for me. Mine has a hydraulic tensioner. Thank you.

Also, AC not working, Axle shafts need new boots, struts need to be done.
I should be near you around the 8th of July. Contact me so we can see if I can help. I was planning to spend the entire month in the NE but I think mom is going to need help back in ABQ.
Thanks very much Robert, I'm going to be very busy that weekend, but even
just looking it over and making some suggestions might help. I don't think there
will be time to do the PCV job. I also have to get it from my son who lives half
an hour away. Let's play it by ear if that works for you.

I'm in Cincinnati OH right now. Not doing a helper tour but if someone needs help, let me know.

When I leave here, I'm headed to Chicago, then MI, then Pittsburgh PA. After that I'm going towards Maine, then down to NYC. Then I'm going to be in the DC area to help someone with a head installation. If time permits, I'll be in NC to visit family, then back to ABQ.

LOL, This is to funny. I'm now in what I consider the east. I don't have to be back to ABQ until around 7/24/16, so, whatever I can get into till then I'm fine with, even the to hot and to sticky big D.

I have a minor issue...tracking down a A/C leak. I have lodging and gas $$$. The RNC is coming up, so there will be a lot of attractions here.
I can probably stop by on the 8th. Most AC leaks in these cars are the evaporator. Have you serviced the system with "leak detection" refrigerant yet?

If he can pay to have that stuff shipped to him, I can bring it back around the 15th.

This car needs a full once-over from someone who knows what they're looking at. 99 V70R AWD... except the rear drive shaft is in my garage, so it's FWD... they tell me I need to send it out for repair. I'm trying to figure out what's been modded/bypassed/etc by the seven or eight people who had this thing before me, so that I know what I'm dealing with when something doesn't even remotely resemble the diagram.
I should be around there near the 12th. Go to my website and call or text me. www.RobertDIY.com.
