Major problem, Radiator leak?

Yet to hear of a $150 transmission line, is that original Volvo part?

The upper transmission (return) line disconnects easily from the radiator but the o-rings+clip should be replaced. The lower one is rusted where it meets the radiator but can be disconnected at the transmission end (transmission being drained).

A good aftermarket radiator should be less than $150 and a good mechanic should be able to even save the lower transmission line.

I'd look for a good garage around your area local.google.com and check for the reviews if any. Your is the kind of skimming one. Might work fine, but if he sees you are willing to pay that much, you may have the surprise of other things 'going bad'.

Save the money and do it yourself. It's an easy job. RobertDIY and fcp have videos on youtube. Took me 2 evenings.

Let's be sympathetic to those who run repair shops. They will not spend time shopping the inter webs and anchoring the price of a part at the cheapest vendor in Ulan bator and then adding their labour. Shop is getting a quote from their reliable wholesale supplier and marking up to keep the lights on

Hello again,

The car is the v70 FWD, no turbo, Vin number says it is 2.5L.
Automatic trans.

I'll try to get a pic of the radiator hoses and fittings.

I also understand the front has to be jacked 18 inches high though. Any way to get it out the top?

Genuine Volvo lists at 320 USD. Thats about 33% markup. I think they will be happy to use your specified AZ radiator as long as you will pay for any extra fitment at 115 per hour.

Are Behr or Nissens radiators a good replacement? They go for 120 and 119 respectively. Their heater cores receive plenty of praise in this forum.

I think Ive put about 40k on my Nissans radiator, replaced in 2012/3 with no problems
