Everyone else, thanks for your understanding. This mistake wasn't a highlight of my career, and I'm concerned that it may have an impact on MVS-member trust. I hope not, but we'll see.

I'm looking at directions to go from here so that it doesn't happen again, and everyone on the newsletter list wants it. I'm not in this business to bug people, I'm in this business to help people, and if what I do doesn't help, I'll change how I do it.

(I wish I had an intern to blame this on.)

Funny but seriously, the Gmail acct I have is used for one thing only and is NEVER posted unless I have a car for sale.
You never answered, was this the first one?

You or someone who knows your second email address registered for MVS forums with that email address. Send me an email or PM and let me know what it is, then I can check if it's been activated. If it's been activated, then we know it was you, and I can tell you the date of registration.

It wasn't me. I don't have the time or inclination to add people to MVS registration, unless they're a new user having problems. MVS has over 70k registered users... me adding accounts one by one is beyond absurd.

For the record, JRL's 2nd account (now deleted at his request) was active, was activated via JRL's 2nd email account, and had 2 posts.

I'm not harping on you, JRL, just making sure everybody here knows I take privacy seriously and I'm not in the business of signing up email addresses without consent.

Looking forward, I'm working on enabling SSL (secure) email on the MVS server. That means when you get an email from MVS, you can be sure it's a) actually from MVS and b) not been spied on while in transit.

FWIW, I've been here since 2008, and have never had a problem with the site, emails or anything. I think that's a pretty spectacular track record, and a one time hiccup of 7 emails in a row won't put a dent of any kind in my confidence in MVS.
I may not have a massive post count to show for it, but I've been a regular user and I've always found that both you, Matt, and the moderators are fair, reliable and trustworthy - not to mention all the contributors and the repair database. I have yet to encounter a Volvo problem I can't find at least a partial solution to here, and "noobs" and seasoned members alike are always courteous and nice (except myself, perhaps, at times... :P ).

So quit 'yer worryin' - you're doing great. :D

I never got these before so why now?
I do not want to see these ever, what for? If I need to I go to MVS without the help of an email. A turn off..... big time
Holy cow, chill the F out Jim. Matt already said it was a mistake. Do you enjoy freaking out over every little thing in life?

Well I didn't get any! So if you could send them to all my emails and ones that you make up for that'd great , then I'll feel like I could sit at the cool kids table.

I like the attention! Deleted them and never thought about it again, no big deal at all.
