In the post about a C70 convertible for sale, I asked if there was a similar pre- and post- divide on the C70s like the P1 to P2 cars. But I guess I was wondering if there were running changes that mirrored the changes with the P2s--so using the same transmissions and ETMs post-2000 that have showed faults in the V70s for example.
With our V70 (which had been treated badly--I mean black oil!), I did the sequential drain and fill almost immediately, and it definitely helped with a bit of stickiness in the shift points and smoothness generally and so far (@185,000--and about 26,000 miles by us) it has worked well. I just did the radiator, and looked at the fluid when I did the connectors on the rad, and it looks decent and smells OK...
I heard back from the seller--going to try to set something up for this weekend. I'm totally of two minds about doing it, but now my wife is on board (car would be for her) so I may end up getting it.
