Essentially it means that you put the battle between who pays as a fight between the insurance companies and notvbetween drivers in courts. If some hits you, you collect from your company and they go after the other guys insurance company to get reimbursed. As is always the case there are advantages and disadvantages, here the big advantage is you stay out of court and as long as you pay your bills you always know you have insurance from which you can collect quickly
