That might have been it. I certainly had a lot of air in the rail after removal. I don't remember a bled step in VIDA bu t that makes sense

I never looked up the procedure in vida... KPII (don't start) pressurizes the system air and all, use the schraeder valve on the fuel rail to purge the air. It only runs the pump for a couple seconds with the engine not running so you have to repeat as necessary till you get just fuel/no air bubbles. Trying to start the engine dry of fuel isn't good for the injectors.

ok, here's the latest. Replaced the oil and filter and the car runs great but when I first started it up and took it for a drive I did get the error message again, reduced engine performance but within 10 mins. it went away and didn't come back on during my test drive. Then again this morning it came on but went out after 10-15 mins. I will continue to monitor it and will do another oil & filter change in a couple hundred miles. I'm also going to do the transmission flush as seen on this forum as I can feel the transmission is not shifting smoothly. I've got the siren module on it's way which I'm hopeful will again allow the sunroof to work. Turbo seems to run excellent. So, unless that error keeps coming back I consider this thread solved but will post back if it does continue to happen.

Siren module let's sunroof work? Hmm.

The circuit board contained in the rear vision mirror called UEM has the sunroof function. Have you tried using the remote at least 3 times in a row (unlock/lock) to kick the board back into operation??

Well, it seems the problem persists even after warming up and driving for 30 mins. It's not duplicatable in that I can press hard an accelerate nicely at times and at other times I get the error or I can be coasting or cruising and get the error. at 20 mph or at 80mph. It's a Bosch ETM that looked in pretty good shape with not much build up when I cleaned it but could this still need replacing? I don't have any CEL's and when I scroll through the DTC's, holding info button & hitting rear fog light button twice to activate it on the info screen on dash everything checks out ok.

No go on the sunroof. I once in awhile get the "alarm system needs servicing" saying or close to that and I dug deep on another forum that mentioned replacing the siren module will restore a non-working sunroof. If not, no big deal.

Hey everyone... I just wanted to share what I did to the PCV hoses on Harry the Volvo... I'm waiting for a new PCV system but in the meantime I still need to use my car. So today I went to Harbor Freight and bought some shrink tubing and the salvage yard for a set of hoses better than mine. I replaced the old with the new ish and wrapped them with the shrink tubing. Harry the Volvo is very happy. :D
