Re: 850 t5 conversion
Engine blocks themselves are the same, I made the mistake last year of buying a c70 t5 with vvt, got info from drift bricks which engine to get

Engine blocks are the same apart from the turbo, my fenix 5.2 system also had the grey relay which I swapped with the T5 one anyway, also my grey plus colour injector wires all go to the same pinout as the T5, at least when it is eventually done, I'll probably be the only idiot to t5 a 10v, all sensors seem to be fine, no codes apart from turbo control valve, which I'm putting in a manual boost controller anyhow

You should at least be able to get it running with megasquirt or another standalone ecu. Please keep us updated how your saga continues.

We just don't get credit for American know-how....we put people on the moon after all. i think a moon mission may be easier than this, though. If you can write your own ECU code and drivers and don't have smog to pass, you probably can make this work.

Injectors are simple, fused 12v is supplied and ECU open grounds to control them.
What troubeshooting have you done to see if the issue is 12v or ground?
With custom n/a to turbo, you'll run into a lot of unique problem no one else can help you with.

Tryingbe, I've checked with multi meter to make sure the wires ain't broken, I'm assuming the relay is fine, but taking that in for test, I do know the engine was running fine before I took it out, but for this harness I haven't got a clue, it's from a volvo breakers, I'm going through some other wiring diagrams tonight for port b leading to the fuse box to see if there was any extra wires

European cars have chipped keys from '96.
Immobiliser, chipped key and antenna ring must work together if you want it to start and run.
In your case....they will need to match with ecu.
Since '95 didn't had any of those you have a problem.

I did read that somewhere, I bought an ecu before the wiring loom ( handy having 2 t5 ecu's) apparently it's been in 2 cars, last guy didn't need an antenna ring, it just plugged and played, but I'm getting same results from both ecu's. Weirdly if I bang in the na ecu it actually starts for a couple of seconds
