Re: 99 V70XC front end noise confusion
Wish mine would spit the bad parts out :p
Wisdom requires knowledge as a prerequisite, but knowledge can be developed due to a lack of wisdom.
In order to learn how to fix something, you must first learn how to break it.

Neil,
Thank you for the reminder about Colorado Driveshaft. Very fortunate to have them just "up the road". That's on the "To Do" list.

thank you for gracing 1 of my threads with your humor. I've seen some of your other posts during my lengthy searches and I crack up at your responses.
wizechatmgr - just wait long enough,...good things come to those who wait.
Well, here is the update: 2 days of regular driving around town and not a peep! Not 1 disturbing noise related to the issue I posted about. I'm quite confident that it was the driveshaft (propeller shaft) causing the thumping. I'd say for now, this issue is thoroughly understood, if not temporarily solved...that is until the prop shaft gets re-built and re-installed. We'll see how the car reacts after that.
Thank you 1 and all!

Well that is good news and hopefully the re-built shaft will be the final fix to be back with AWD.
Neil.
