You need some special tools as Jimmy57 noted. A T40 torx bit and a 17 mm hex.

Finally got around to drain and fill. I’ve completed 2 of 5 planned, a gallon at a time as Jimmy prescribed. I’ve only driven it 30-40 miles, I’m sure it will take more D/Fs and more drive time for real improvements to fully take effect. It’s shifting better but it feels almost like the torque converter is not fully releasing when you come to a stop. When I shift it into drive or reverse with the brake on, it pulls the idle way down and the motor bogs way down, valves clatter.

Here’s the other thing that’s got me a little whacked out: Under wide open throttle, it won’t shift any later than 4000 RPM. Prior to taking it to the dealer for diagnosis, the WOT shift point was 6500 rpm. Thought I’d try geartronic mode to force it to hang on to a higher rpm before upshifting but no go. Shifted at 4000. This thing I love has turned into a toad that won’t go up hill faster than 60mph.

Sound like an adaptation with VIDA may be in order to reset shift points, but I am in personally uncharted territory here since your wagon is newer than anything in my fleet.
