You installed the starter after the rotation check.
I would have a look at is the starter. It maybe cockeyed and jammed.
Correct bolts in the bell housing, torque converter ... etc?
Can I put the B5254T motor into my XC90 that originally came with a B5254T2?

The starter was the first thing I removed in hopes that I wouldn't have to take the whole motor back out. And the torque converter was never removed from the new motor I just put the old trans right over it, onto the new motor. Never touched the bell housing bolts either. The trans is now off the motor (so it's back to exactly how it was when it was turning over correctly) and the motor is still seized.
The only thing I can think of .. Because of how heavy the trans is, and because I had zero help.. I got it almost all the way into place (there was only about a 5mm gap between the motor and trans) and used the bolts to pull the trans the rest of the way onto the motor (which I KNOW I'm not supposed to do) do you think maybe that center shaft that pokes into the center of the torque converter (possibly unaligned) forced something into the motor in there?

One thing at a time. Have you removed the serpentine belt?

most TQ have to be seated to the transmission input shaft first... if you didn't do this, it's probably your issue..

So the torque converter may be locking something up in there? I assumed it went onto the motor first because it bolts up from the timing belt side of the motor, not from the transmission side. The bolts come through the back of it.. Another problem I'll have is, to remove the torque converter now that it's seized going clockwise, I'll have to turn it counter clockwise to get all of those bolts out that I'm talking about..and I've read that that isn't a good idea with these motors because of the VVT

1. Has a Cam pulley slipped on a camshaft?
The three front alignment marks would still be spot on but the cam would be out of sync. Align the three from marks. Pull the Camshaft position sensor and/or covers of the back of the Cams and check Cam alignment.
If that not it:
2. Take the Timing belt and Cam Cover off. Look for stuck valves.
See if it will turn over without the Cam Cover on.
