When did you do this repair? When I had to replace this same line on my 98 V70 two years ago (summer 2017), the dealer and online sources all said the hose was no longer available. Lucky I was tearing down an 850 in the driveway at the time and that one worked just fine.kranz wrote: ↑25 Aug 2019, 23:40 I had a similar leak on my 98 V70 on an unprotected section of the gas line. Here are photos of the replacement part that I got from VOLVO. I only used part of it to replace the leaking segment. I seem to recall that there was great variation in the part numbers for this gas line depending on model and year. I ordered the wrong part first time out and only got it right after careful study of the confusing VOLVO parts diagrams.

Re: 2000 V70 fuel line leak
Nice fix! My 98 had essentially the same problem but it was back closer to the fuel filter and the line was completely severed.

Great idea! I figured that the hose clamps would rot out every 2 years and I'd have to replace them, this is a better solution. When I first bought this car 2 years ago, I had the upper radiator hose clamp rot off and the hose popped off. I don't know how old the clamp was but I was shocked that it would rot so far off the ground. This current fix is definitely high risk for rot.abscate wrote: ↑28 Aug 2019, 05:22 If you get rid of the hose clamps for stainless steel Oetikers, Andy then protect it with some heat shrink. It will last the rest of the car life. Pex fittings for home plumbing, which are Oetiker type, are tested at 100 psi, twice the operating pressure of your system.
Add a inspection protocol to your car of weekly smell underneath, then monthly, then twice annually. A fuel leak is easily detected by the nose

My records show that I did that repair in 2013 so it is quite possible that this part is no longer available.erikv11 wrote: ↑28 Aug 2019, 08:59

It is possible to 'open' an oetiker and then reclamp it around a closed piece of pipe, so you can add to that without taking a fuel bath.dj_v70 wrote: ↑28 Aug 2019, 09:51Great idea! Same car, two years later. Original repair is holding up just fine. New leak in same fuel hose, this time in engine compartment vs last time under car. The car was parked for awhile in a different location (FL vs NJ). It looks like animal chewed on it again, but not sure. Distressing, but fairly easy fix.

Rubber parts have a short life (maybe five-ten years). Expect to continue to repair or replace hose, belts, seals, and tires as a car ages. Exposure to heat, sun and some chemicals increase deterioration. Mileage has little effect.dj_v70 wrote: ↑05 Mar 2021, 12:45 Same car, two years later. Original repair is holding up just fine. These lines aren’t rubber they hard Nylon. The won’t degrade unless critters gnaw on them
