There are some really good ones in there (and some mediocre ones).
It's interesting to note that many of the classic wheels of the past are 5 spokes. This was generally a function of strength, venting, and fitting the design to 5 lug holes. There are some small diameter vintage Japanese 4-spoker race wheels, as well as a few Abarth / Campagnolo / Cromodora 4-spokers. And don't forget the odd duck French 3-spoke wheels (WTH???).
Most of the cooler wheels of the past are odd-numbered - 5, 7, 9, 11 spokes.
I love the Columba on the 850. Classic 5 spoke, and it really reminds me of vintage wooden airplane propeller hubs. The Perfo is an sharp-edged modernization of that design. So good.
The Tellus on the XC wagon is a cool design I think - it's deep with a big rim lip, more aggressive, fat spokes. They broke the odd number rule with 6, but they work and look good. Note the Thor has 7.
You look over that page and you see knock-offs of BBS wheels, Ronal, Mercedes, BMW, Audi ideas over the years. There are only so many ways to put spokes and fins and disks in a round hoop!
