In Europe the phones still work with the networks. The issues are rather to do with the new sim cards being different. But the same old GSM mobile network that worked in the 90s is still online. It's also the same tech for all carriers unlike what I've gathered your situation is. The US was and is a relatively small part of Volvo's sales as well which probably doesn't help.

That'll make it a twin turbo Volvo W10 engine? Something like the VW W12 in the Phaeton? Interesting idea but how would you mount them up to the Ford transmission
In reality that huge Ford engine will silently make that aircraft carrier move quite quickly. At least mine did. The best part was the roar when the pedal hit the floor. Always reminded me of the sound used on the opening theme of Starsky and Hutch. The problem is it's not a Volvo, and finding someone to keep it running in factory condition. June
