best 850 heater core?

I have two P80s with the Swedish Car Parts cores in them. I have had no trouble and the smell does go away, but I think running them through the dishwasher would be a great idea. Your mileage may vary, but my two Swedish Car Parts cores have been good, and I would buy from them again if I ever needed one. I believe their story about being designed slightly differently from the OEM design to prevent eventual leaks, but I wouldn't knock any other brand. I will tell you that the first car was a bit challenging, but the second car was easy peasy after having done one before.

Did a Swedish Car Parts heater core not too long ago. No smell on this one.

I'm not saying they're bad. I'm just saying it is best to run those suckers through the dishwasher if it's going in a car you're going to have to smell it in, or hear about it. =)

Thanks for all the input! I have a bit more money and the Behr price has declined so it's a no brainer now. FCP lists it as made in France and the Nissens made in China.

It's kind of remarkable that after all these years Swedish Car Parts still hasn't solved the stink.
