Re: How to determine a fair asking price 1995 850GLT?
List it as is for $500 or best offer, or get it running and driving and list it for $1k. These cars really aren't worth a lot, and it really depends on condition and mileage. You could probably get it sold fairly quickly for $500 to someone looking for a project or a flip, but anything more, at least in my area, is a pain to sell. For example, there's an S70 around here for $900 that's been listed for MONTHS because the seller won't take any less. I looked at the car, it's a mess... $300 car.

Thank you everyone for all your assistance. You’re all amazing as you gave me all the information (advice and supportive information) I need to price the car.
Where would be a good place to list it. Kijiji?
Turns out the reason my daughter can’t start the car isn’t due to the battery but rather due to the front hood now being stuck and not opening.
I’m sure after sitting so long the battery probably wouldn’t start it .
My daughter - who isn’t mechanically inclined- has decided to list it as a car that runs but not drivable . She’s thinking of asking 500$ as she’s aware of what it would take to list it for more.
If you don’t think that is fair pls let me know.
Thanks again for everything!

I think that's reasonable considering the fact that it can't be driven, she should be able to sell it fairly easily.

Start at $500 for a week or two. If no takers, drop the price to whatever has been offered. Sounds like she just wants to get rid of it as easily as possible. Around here there are salvage yards that will come get a car, but they only pay $100-$200.

I also think it would be a beautiful car for someone as it’s impeccable inside, good body , no rust, dents, etc.bmdubya1198 wrote: ↑21 Apr 2020, 09:01 I think that's reasonable considering the fact that it can't be driven, she should be able to sell it fairly easily.
If I didn’t already love my c30 - which is perfect for my dog and carting around my artwork - I would consider it for myself.
Thanks for your thoughts.

If it's that nice cosmetically, she should have no problem selling it. Best of luck!
