Here's what the hole for the speaker looks like

At the shallowest point you're looking at about 0.78 inches (2cm)

Almost an inch at the back


As for the grille height, between 0.75" on the windshield side and 1.2".

the speaker mount isn't flat which doesn't make measuring with a tape measure easy


oh and the speaker is 5 1/8 inch in diameter if that helps

Ask if you need anything else, the car is in the driveway with the speaker still off for a few days as I'm not using it due to the current situation

Wow thank you so much! I'll measure my Bose sub to see if it is shallow enough. I think it is. I will probably not be using C70 dash or center speaker. I want to mod mine to snuggly fit my Bose sub and mount the amp for it behind the radio.
