Oil feed line needs some bending because the pre '99 block has oil "squirt windows" in the way.

Are these the mysterious ports in the rear ( right side of engine) that we have always wondered about?

Apparently yes. Behind them are the piston oil squirters that were not used in later whiteblocks. I guess the windows are for access during assembly?

The oil squirters are used on turbo models; I have them on my 99 RN block.
