Unfortunately you can't blame Ford for this one. This was probably designed around 1990 or so, long before they owned Volvo.

The guys have already said the best way to get them to release )if they decide to comply!) is to start soaking with PB Blaster or Deep Creep (not WD40) for a couple of days prior. I also like to fit the long Torx socket in place and give it a couple of taps with a hammer on it's end to try to shock the threads loose prior to spraying with the penetrating oil. Make sure the socket is straight!! Always an issue with aluminum threads and steel bolts with long time heat.

I would normally put a flame on it but the fuel line is literally an inch away

anyone can ruin a torx bolt , I don't blame the last guy but what you aren't supposed to do is put them back in ruined.

Throw it away and buy a bolt from the hardware store , even if its an allen head its better than a torx with a round crater for a head

You can put heat on that , just block the fuel line with a pad or wood.

When you pull on a fastener and it doesn’t yield, you stop, heat cycle it, oil it, shock it. Then try again with as many cycles as needed. 5 cycles isn’t too many before getting out the drills

I sprayed it with more lube , and hit the pause button

I've been feeling like garbage for 3 or 4 days so I went and got a corona test . Initially chalked it up to pollen but allergy meds weren't doing much
It was a 4 hour process and i saw some people that were feeling worse than me, enough so I was almost embarrassed to be there

like I was wasting their time or something

48 to 72 hours for results
