I can hear the crying of all the Naugs that were killed for their skins in those American cars
I love those big boxy Lincoln though. Battleship left!!

The best part of the 78 Marquis was the enormous sound that the 460 made every time I floored it! It made me feel like I was on Starsky and Hutch

Thanks June.
They may have been heavy and used lots of gas, but these cars had class.
A former employer had a fleet of the Ford LTDs that were similar. I drove a lot of them from the motor pool. They were always red and had the cheapest interior. In earlier years the company would delete the radio to save money. Finally Ford charged more far a radio delete than to have the radio.
I still have a 1977 Ford F350 truck with the 460. It was two tone white and tan. Currently, it has no muffler. Yes, it is very loud.

I had a summer job at a Ford dealer in college. I jump started brand new cars, washed, delivered, and lined up dozens of Lincoln Mark V's. 1979. You never saw so much waterline length dedicated to carrying so few people. Battleship is right.

It's very green.
The P cars, especially in the early-mid 70s, had some real color variety, and you could have them painted to order as well.
This might be Viper Green A lovely Irish Green Classic Gulf Blue from Gulf Racing
Lilac anyone?
One of my favorites, Aubergine. It's fun to say Aubergine...
Another of my favorites, Albert Blue. It's deep and rich, very dark in the shade.
It's time for rich browns and bronzes to make a comeback...
I don't know what this is, I've searched, but I think it's cool. This was a TV murder series, The Bridge. It's "green," but it's kind of brown, but it has some yellow in it....
<EDIT> Sheesh, why was this so hard the first time....this car is apparently auction-famous now...
"What do we know about the Porsche 911 from The Bridge?"
"Chassis number 9117201496 is a stock 911 S painted in a distinctive Jager Grun olive green - a very fitting, retro 1970s hue."

I had a euro spec light metallic green 78 Porsche 924 in the late 80s. It was soo much fun. Underpowered even by 80s standards, but that’s what made it great. Super handling, amazing/clear gauges and interior, and pretty.
