I would buy a V60 wagon with all the "sport" stuff and suspension I could order.

Absolutely YES! If I was to buy a new car, it would only be a Volvo.

From 12/24/20 through 1/27/21 I drove a 2021 Xc60 Inscription fully loaded including the gorgeous perforated Napa Leather as a service loaner. Volvo refined the XC60 for 2021. Things like modified B pillar interior trim that gives more shoulder room. Aut9 dimming headlights must be standard and is a nice touch. The engine is quieter.better mpg and both 2021 models I drove had a much better feel of power at interstate + speeds.

2/08/21 through today 3/23/21 i drove a plain Jane S60. It did have a lovely plaid interior! It was a great car, and being the T5 front wheel drive it was a rocket ship!

I hate the missing gas caps these new models have! I'm not in love with the I ack of a traditional key... June

I would (and did) consider a very basic V60. I'd want Denim Blue on the cloth interior, with the cold weather package and H/K stereo. But the lack of a manual transmission is something of a deal killer at new car prices, and ultimately it doesn't seem $42K better than my V70. The modern conveniences and economy would be nice. But on the other hand, while I have not driven the newest V60, I had the previous generation as a rental for a week and found the driving experience pretty MEH compared to my BMWs. My V70 is certainly MEH as well, but for what little I paid for it well-used I don't really care.

If Volvo continues Tourist Delivery in Sweden post-pandemic, it could happen though. I bought two BMWs that way, and I would really like to do it again. But BMW is dead to me. Volvo at least still sells proper wagons in the US.
