Piece of flat bar and 3 holes? Then move the bracket from the middle hole and move to the end of a longer piece and bolt it on the end. Drill 2 holes where the current block mount holes are and a 3rd to line up where the manifold mount needs to go.

Thanks Neil, that would work. I think I'm all set, I'll either make a new bracket or acquire a drop-in Japanifold. Not sure at the moment.

Chuck W - if you're still following this, I would be interested in knowing what you did with this lower support bracket when you put the R-style manifold on your '96. Modify it? Omit it?

Thanks Neil. While the R-style manifold would have been fine, I now have a Japanifold in-hand and I'm going ahead with that.
