When I did my PCV refresh I was deep on the backside of the camshafts with a long wrench, and when the job was over I was privvy to a “cranks but no-start” situation.
Long story short I tore a wire out of the crank (RPM) sensor connector by accidentally tugging the loom too hard with the handle of the wrench while turning an unrelated bolt. It was easy to diagnose because I remember seeing it happen (I hoped it hadn’t and tried to start it anyway), plus my scan tool read me an RPM sensor code.
Do you recall anything like that happening while you were wrenching? You might even check the RPM sensor connector, it can definitely cause a no-start if disconnected or broken!
Plus it is right under that 3-tube vacuum thing you mentioned.
