interesting idea, Neil. I'm too bulky for that, will have my wife sit on the hood while i measure. Should come close.

Just a question: Were some R models AWD?

Not 850's that i am aware. There were manual 850 AWD's here in Canada in MY 97. V70R's were AWD.
