No. I was buying almost exclusively at FCP for about a decade. Most certainly INA, Lemforder, Bosch, etc. Then those vendors did move their manufacturing to not-Europe and the quality concerns arose. I returned one aux belt tensioner that cracked during Volvo belt installation, FCP took it without a question. Another INA tensioner, for T12 engine in wife's XC60, developed a bearing noise within couple of years. I took the old, factory bearing, regreased the bearing and put it back in the car. INA part went into a trash bin.RickHaleParker wrote: ↑28 Jul 2021, 21:31 Where them "INAs" eBay counterfeits? Nowadays you need to look at the source as well as the name on the box.
Volvo replacement parts often have a lower quality nowadays as well, but they still hold up better than the "same" aftermarket parts.
Tasca seems to have better prices on most of Volvo OE parts, so no more FCP. Otherwise I liked them.
Most dramatic drop was probably SKF: with the made in India bearings it became a real danger to our cars. Just think what happens when almost new water pump dies - and it happens to people.
All critical or hard to reach parts in my Volvos are now coming from blue Volvo boxes. When I cheap out and buy, say, Corteco camshaft seals, they pop out or leak in no matter of time. Volvo "red+black" seal hold just fine. No, it's not installation mistake, I actually have Volvo ("for Volvo") camshaft seal tools.
