Obviously whether something is considered propaganda or news depends on where you stand. One persons " rebel " is another persons " terrorist ". If countries didn't have a past track record of lying to their citizens, including ours, then there wouldn't be fertile ground for conspiracy theories to thrive. In our case we know that $$$$ is the main motivator for everything in this country, no matter how much we hate that.
I've said before that herd immunity is not going to happen. And now others with way way more knowledge about it are coming to that same conclusion.

So it doesn't really matter how they were wrong - they either didn't have the foresight to anticipate the hesitancy to their new mRNA vaccine, or it simply didn't work quite as well as they had hoped, due to variants. Either way they missed it. People believed that, based on past vaccines, that this would be a one time shot. Now they are hearing about it being a yearly thing. Do you really think people will sign up for that ? Side note : Astrazeneca has said that they believe that booster shots will be needed, but the government, because it knows soooo much more about it, says " No. Not necessary ". Really ? Because they know how that will go over. Seems like they are trying desperately to bail out a leaky boat.

All the while, China is using a different approach in their vaccines. Old school using dead virus cells from what I read. And we hear absolutely nothing about it, even though the virus emanated from their country and they are doing better with it. Look at the list of countries having a bad time with this virus, and China is not there. That seems like closing your ears and eyes because you might not like what you find out. Likewise we don't hear anything about treatments of any kind, as MoVolvos has pointed out in his videos. All I hear is VACCINE ! VACCINE! VACCINE !. That naturally makes me skeptical.
History has shown that one of the problems of government is that when they make a wrong move, they typically keep doubling down on that move, because to admit otherwise would cause more distrust and potential panic, and they will loose power.

I really don't see us getting out of this mess until we start " treating " this virus outbreak in a different way than we have been.
I believe we can get out of this, but I just don't know if our system as it is now will let us.

No ... Objective reporting is news. Biased reporting is propaganda by definition regardless of what is being said or who agrees with it.

Objective reporting ( News ) means to portray issues and events in a neutral and unbiased manner, regardless of the writer's opinion or personal beliefs.

Propaganda is reporting in a biased or misleading nature, to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view.

There is a lot of propaganda organizations trying to pass themself off as news, like Fox "News" but, it still propaganda not news.

Is MVS another platform for propaganda if it fits certain views ? If some of the members want to be brain washed there are plenty of other places they can get that done.

Journalism is not the business of presenting 'all sides'

It is the business of researching and then trying to report the truth. Its ok to say we arent sure about things.

The divergent thought on the links upthread is not journalism and fails the bias tests.

Matt has repeatedly expressed the desire to keep HIS site a place of discussion of views and not robo-linking.

Lets all try to respect that.

I stand by my statement. It depends on how you perceive something. I watch what would be considered left leaning news, and I catch them being exactly that. Not as bad or blatant as Fox, but it is there none the less. Not sure that there is a true " neutral " news outlet anymore. Everyone has their interests and agendas. I try to keep my links to a minimum and am only expressing my opinion.
That and $ 2.00 might get you a cup of coffee. Or tea.

For this post I say Volvos are safe. The first video however is "CNBC" left leaning. The second to last video will cause some infighting (divide and conquer) while the last video is obviously propaganda, misinformation and fake news!
