Glad you had no major troubles. That was a long trip in poor weather.
Thanks for all the photos.
My wife in from Denver and we have made many trips to Colorado and a couple to Wyoming. But, never a long trip in winter.

Your trip reminds me of a epic ski trip in 1979. Twenty college kids in a 4 cars with CB radios. I had a 1969 Chevrolet Biscayne with 6 cylinder and 3 speed on the column. One car was someone's dad's new Buick sedan. We left Dillon, CO about dawn with destination of Kansas City. Somewhere on the plains East of Denver it started to snow. Traffic on Interstate 70 slowed way down. By dark we decided we had to stop in WaKeeny, KS. We piled everyone into 2 motel rooms (maybe 4?), one for girls and one for boys.
The next morning we found that I-70 was closed to the East. We learned the East-West highway about 70 miles South was open and struck out on our new route. By about midnight that evening, I got to Kansas City. The faithful Chevrolet did not let me down, but as the temperature dropped that evening, the heater did not keep up.

Epic! That has to be heart in mouth when you see those fronts coming. You can predict some weather but the mountains can make a fool of you.

I used to commute MSP BZN a lot and those Bridger could really be a rough ride. I much preferred the Airbus to the MD80

Now that's a proper trip report, awesome! Love the photos too.

I have never been out that way but it's on the list of destinations for sure. I get a major itch reading this and I want to get into the V70 and drive.

Great that you had a good time and the trip went smoothly.
