I took my mine on a road rally with 5 Rs and stopped at the final spot down by the river waiting for them...

...still waiting....

:D :D :D

Update - they finally made it. They have better horsepower than me but kept dropping back in the turns

It turns out the Turn-5 has a lot more agility ....even with kayaks on top...

Just ignore the red beast in the background... :D

And to top that off, I'm picking up a '99 Miata 5 speed manual tomorrow on trade for the 740. I hate to let it go, but it makes more sense right now. Plus it'll save a little driveway space... it's getting very crowded.
Yesterday I put a Mariner Blue door on my Laguna Blue '94 after an incident on track two weeks ago. I bought mine after selling my Fiesta ST a few months back. It's the first time in the eight or nine cars I've owned that I went back to a model I'd had before.

I got myself a high-spec specimen (LSD, leather, headrest speakers, cruise control, power windows, hardtop) for $4k, added a roll bar, changed the soft top, bought 200 treadwear tires, installed good coilovers, changed the timing belt/water pump/hoses/radiator/etc, and now I have a totally reliable daily/track/canyon car at half the price I sold the Fiesta for.

Cool! My cousin and I pulled the engine and trans the other night after some valve stem seals let go and just got the 1.8 and manual trans swapped in last night. Fortunately he's good friends with the owner of a local Miata shop and was able to get us a great deal on the full swap.
The engine we got is a '95 1.8 with a ported and polished head, 3 angle valve job, of course resurfaced, and it sits on a freshly honed and hot tanked block with 110k on it. It's gonna be sweet once we have it running! I just need to get some conversion parts from Flyin' Miata and take care of some odds and ends like transmission wiring since it was originally an auto car.

Pardon the nasty valve cover... we're painting that before it goes on for good!

Why did Mazda put the engine in sideways? And don't customers complain about a missing cylinder?

That was no mistake, Mazda didn't design this car to be wrong wheel drive! Although it's definitely missing a cylinder. And a turbo!

Finally replaced right head light with one from my parts stash. Popped off glass - the reflector was a dull beige.

I can see!! I can see!! at night!

Swapped out the ETM on the R today while I could reach it a little more easily. Tried to bleed the clutch using a reverse bleed method with an oil can, that didn't work. Then I tried my hand vacuum pump, that worked almost as badly. The clutch still has no feel... I think I'm gonna have to do it the old fashioned way.
That Harbor Freight vacuum pump is JUNK! Now that mine has paint peeling from the brake fluid it works much worse than when it was new.

First time posting, long time volvo lover/driver!

Changed the heater core in the ol girl today. I was getting sick of the smell of coolant through the vents!
Surprisingly easy in comparison to a lot of other cars

Welcome Phil!

Which heater core did you use?

Give me the week advance warning when the leaves turn so I can see them here - 3 hours south.
