I just finished 'winterizing' the V70R. Almost broke my heart to do an oil and filter change after maybe 2000km over 2 years. I was going to change it last winter but by then the car had only done about 500km on the last oil change.

The oil that came out was still looking fresh. I overly worry that the old oil being left in will have moisture in it, so better to swap early. My wife has probably done more km's this year than the last 4 since we moved. Car was bought in 2012 with 261kkm on it, it now has 281kkm!! So a whole 20kkm in 13 years! (or 12.5k miles). This has been a good year for use as the snow left earlier so the car has almost had a full 6 months of use!

Storage tires and rims fitted so as to not flat spot the summer tires!

That is 4 oil and filter changes in about 10 days! Time to do a fluids recycling run!

USed Windex to find and seal a rim that was leaking to near flat over one week - just enough time to return from overseas to a flat tire.

My 1977 Ford F350 has run about 10,000 miles since I bought about 1995. I change the oil every few years if I think about it. My best $400 vehicle purchase. Wait, second best after the $400 1975 245 Volvo in about 1990.

Definitely a great deal for sure! Handy if you have room and possibly an acreage or large yard to store it. Great for those garbage dump runs and the like.

My best car purchase was almost 30k , because 14 years later, it led to me MVS….friends , family, and Scots!

I've done this. The car has spend 20 years in Saoudia, trims broke just to look at them. Luckily, i've got a complete interior to switch. But i will have to say goodbye to my blue interior.

Slow seepon the T5 left front foot. This is a 4 year old tire.

Used windex to find the bead. It’s big enough I’ll seal the whole bead. Technique - get tire flat so you get windex liquid all the way around, wait. Shows up nicely as foam, even a slow, two week leak!

I have to get some lumber to build out some parts shelves in my shed.
