Don't worry, it's a 924... I owned a late 70s sample. No power, and the early ones came with steelies already
But still FUN, and IMHO great looking. Excellent handling, excellent interior, excellent ergonomics. Flip-up headlights.
I think I posted a photo (B/W, circa 1989) here of me and it? Need to search to see if I did that.

I look like I'm going on a business trip
I was 18.
Also, a huge sunroof that was on/off, no rollback. You'd remove it, pop it in the trunk, and go about your business. It did have a up/down back edge "vent" position.
What a great car. I didn't know how to change oil even back then. I could swap stereos and did, but mechanics I hadn't tackled yet. It would be another 10 years.
My grandfather was an airline mechanic (electrics... weird 440V DC systems etc.) but my dad was clueless with cars so I didn't get any hereditary knowhow passed down that way.

Only GRRR because it looks great!
I have a friend here who bought, and shortly sold, a worn out 924 recently. But he said it was a blast to drive. It had the pop off roof and original skinny steelies.
My dad was a woodworking guy, no motors, so I had the same problem.

Interesting. https://www.corsasteelies.com/product-p ... s-steelies I didn't realize there is a "name brand" steelie. I thought they were all long-ago OEM or no-name/obscure factory items.BlackBart wrote: ↑18 Apr 2025, 14:53 Funny, I just popped in here to post a gallery of cool steelies, custom sizes.....and it's CORSA Wheels like on the 1800! I keep seeing them, because they all have that white graphics stripe around the middle. I could never read what it said. I think they’ll build width / diameter / offset / bolt pattern to your wishes (for a price no doubt).
