THC cost too much. They probably dope it with cheap subsidized Fructose Corn Syrup instead. There are way more sugar addicts. Appealing to a wider audience

Anytime wasted watching Rand Paul is penalized by the Creator a 3x reduction in your lifetime. It’s like watching grass growing, then getting cut, then a fight breaks out.

I would love to debate him and sneak in grass jokes, maybe that’s worthy of its own thread.

Note to Government :
As you scratch your collective head wondering why there is so much vaccine hesitancy, you might want to look at your policy of allowing the pharmaceutical industry to hawk their products to the average citizen, who in many cases couldn't even pronounce the name of the stuff. But as they tune out the ad, they can't help but hear the announcer, in lowered voice, caution that this drug can have unintended side effects - " including pain, flushing, dizziness, heart attack, blindness, flatulence, birth defects, stroke etc ".
So just maybe this is an unintended side effect of that policy; of allowing anything to go as long as it makes corporate America richer.
I know that when I was growing up there was no advertising allowed for those companies. As such, the only time you heard about a drug was when your doctor proscribed it to you. " Take this and call me in the morning ". He/she was the one and only professional you listened to. There was a level of trust that I fear has been diminished with all of this constant hyping of drugs to the average citizen, who in the back of their mind, is more likely to remember all of the potential side affects of all of these drugs more than anything else. Call it pharmaceutical overload - To many drugs with all of their side effects being advertised every day like candy.
It's no wonder that many are going to just say " No Thanks ! ". If your going to market your products like used cars, then expect many people to be just as skeptical of your motives.

Well it's been a very hard decision for me, but my personal balance has finally tipped to one side. I decided to get jabbed now instead of waiting till the fall. In my case the things that tipped the scale were :

The new variants spreading in the summer time
Finding out that one of my sons friends tested positive. My son did not.
A job that had been on hold for a year, now coming back to life. Another historic building, this time for the State, which happens to be a nursing home. No requirement that I be vaccinated, but still...
And yes - Volvolugnut's daily tracker. The thing looks like a Christmas tree today.

So I'll give it a chance. But if they try and get me to do this on a yearly basis then No.

So it's a done deal. Now I'm just waiting for arm to get sore. But as Cartman would say " I'm still angry dammit !! " :)

Glad to hear you are getting the shot now.

For the record, with many of the states not reporting daily now, the relevance of the red and yellow fast growth indication is questionable.

Got my third dose at VA this week; given my age group and my ongoing battle with cancer, I'm better prepared to fend off getting the virus from people who think they have the right to make me sick. Now I feel a bit more confident that by this time next year things may settle down.
