My Great Uncle Rudy was a dirt track racer and had his own mechanic shop. He built a three wheel car starting with a Lincoln Zephyr like this. The front fenders were removed and smooth panels covered the openings. A single front wheel in the center steered the car. The V12 (may have been a Ford V8) was mounted in the rear with a drop box to drive the rear wheels. I have seen this car and it is still in the family.
It was not a show car and he drove it many years.
