Dr Jammer, start a thread on the rear sub-frame issue with your fuel tank and I can then reply to that to see if I can help guide you to the options you have.

Dr Jammer has the MVS distinction of being the first to start a Volvo question in a non-car thread :D It's usually the other way around.

Back on topic. I see there is a trial of a vaccine starting in Washington State at the Kaiser Permanente Institute in Seattle. Apparently the fastest ever time line to get a vaccine to test stage. It has already been animal tested so that is great news. Added to that there are at least 12 other drug makers worldwide also working on a solution. This would be the time for shared knowledge, but you know that profits will likely also be the leader here again.

If there ever was an example of capitalism working on a supply-demand problem, this is it.

Whoever creates the first widely-distributed vaccine will be the King of the World. Monetary compensation, surely, but glory, glory, glory also.

Virus has been mutating, so a possible Catch-22.

FWIW - "Common cold is a virally related syndrome and has been associated with over 100 different viruses, including Human Coronavirus and Rhinovirus. " But, I have not seen comparisons to Human Conronavirus and COVID-19, nor if having had Human Coronavirus offers any protection against COVID-19.

8 Things You May Not Know About Jonas Salk and the Polio Vaccine

6. Salk did not patent his vaccine.

On April 12, 1955, the day the Salk vaccine was declared “safe, effective and potent,” legendary CBS newsman Edward R. Morrow interviewed its creator and asked who owned the patent. “Well, the people, I would say,” said Salk in light of the millions of charitable donations raised by the March of Dimes that funded the vaccine’s research and field testing. “There is no patent. Could you patent the sun?” Lawyers for the foundation had investigated the possibility of patenting the vaccine but did not pursue it, in part because of Salk’s reluctance.

Lets not get our hopes up. A tested vaccine is 12-18 months away.

The last person who thought that you can accelerate solving complex science problems by throwing more money and people at it was Elizabeth Holmes.

Nuclear physics is childs play compared to the body and biology.

Arguably, Manhattan was 99% engineering , and it’s easier to kill than save.

Apparently, just elderly are affected the most severe.

March 18, 2020 - Dutch coronavirus death toll hits 58, the south still dominates.....As in previous updates, the patients who have died are all elderly – the oldest being 95. In total 408 people are, or have been, hospitalised.
