There looks to be a manual turbo 2002 V70 in the Durham NC junkyard, added yesterday (22 Dec 2020)

Naturally, not only am I financially embarrassed at the moment, but this one is in a different country. My '98R is sans spoiler, too.

Those folks up north look like they take care of their stuff. Interior is way nicer than mine - but I did rescue it from a bootleg junkyard, and the dog was sleeping in it.
Maybe Neil can harvest some of this one.

Saw that one. We got a big dump of snow this week (35-40cm) so roads are still bad but improving. Had thought about going to see it, but is it really an 'R' and not another V70 AWD dressed as an 'R'? Do 98 'R's only have a single muffler tailpipe system and a wood center dash? Interior looks like an 'R' but short of getting the Vin or going to look at it I don't need anything from a 98. The front bumper cover looks trashed and car does not have 'R' wheels.

I don't currently have a lot of spare time but is there anyone that needs anything from it?

That definitely looks like an R, just sitting on Andromeda wheels from an S/V90. '98s had single exit exhaust and dark wood trim.

Since I've only ever seen one (my current Rescue), I defer to the superior Knowledge Base. Seats look right with the Alcantara inserts, and from what I've gleaned from these pages, some Rs had the rear spoiler. Mine does not, and they still seem a little scarce on the used marketplace, especially the brackets. Front bumper cover and single exhaust exiting on the passenger side match what I've got. The other obvious R stuff would be suspension bits, including Nivos. I posted it more for academic interest, and the sake of discovery for our Tribe.

Wonder why it's being broken up.

Merry Christmas, Neil and all; since you have a White Christmas in Alberta, congratulations, or something. We got 2" of rain ( don't know what that is in metric ), so coupled with a few other recent deluges, I have a couple new frog ponds in the yard.
