A very readable book on public health groups, the CDC, and their response to Covid-19 is "The Premonition" by Michael Lewis. Kind of a behind the curtains look at how things got done during the pandemic.

I read the very sad news that Colin Powell has died from Covid. He was one of my true heroes, and also apparently a fan of fixing up old Volvo's, something I was not aware of till I heard an admiral friend of his mention it.
