"Missing exhaust" is ... Interesting. Wonder if the scrap value on converters has gone up.

This one hits the block in a few days
Probably would only make sense to somebody nearby

Pretty low miles, looks pretty clean aside from the crease on the roof
No Volvos in our area so have been checking out Auctions. I actually created an account with SCA yesterday but discovered you can go direct with IAA as SCA is an agent / middleman. Sold for $1,300.

I tried getting set up to bid direct on IAAI, uploaded everything they asked for, and still couldn't bid. They seem very protective of
the process. Makes me wonder if there is influence from the scrapper industry. My first exposure to that group was a few years ago when they had a V70R, lighty wrecked on the nose, and I had a parts car - and the time and energy - so I could've fixed it with my bare hands.
80k miles as I recall, and it went for less than a grand.
I am substantially less interested now. Also less capable. Still have the parts car, though.

IAA makes it a real pain to bid, and I don't know why. They try to deter the public. Most junkyards buy their inventory from IAA, so businesses have it way easier on there.
Copart is the easiest to bid on, since you can sign up and bid directly on their site and you don't have to go through a broker unless your state requires a business/dealer license to bid on salvage auction cars. Fortunately NC allows me to bid freely on any public car, unless it's sold as dealer only. Then, I would need to go through a broker.
A basic membership on Copart was free up until a couple months ago, now you need to pay $59/year for a basic membership. I'll likely renew mine, it's a fairly reasonable price if it gets me a few good deals throughout the year. Plus you can bid up to $1,200 without any sort of deposit, so that's a big plus.

Lookup a Volvo mechanic in your area with the Volvo Mechanic database.
.

Interesting site, returned 67 shops for Tampa FL. The V8 sold overnight . Someone here got to it and it's going to be on BAT!

I created an account also but decided not to finish the Registration process to BID as they also require a deposit. I was able to call my local yard and the lady was very friendly and informative. Told me if the car does not run sometimes the keys aren't available even if it says present.

Co-Part seems to focus on heavy wrecks rather than whole running cars?

Damn... sucks that XC90 will end up on BaT. Probably for some exorbitant selling price. I like BaT, but what it does to values is annoying.

Copart has everything from mechanical damage to collision damage to clean title cars. Of course, they focus on collision damaged cars, but they have literally everything. Even power sports and boats.
