is that a TPMS in the 12v outlet ?gnalan wrote: ↑24 May 2021, 19:36 I installed a new cupholder where the cubby hole beside the radio was. Pretty easy to do. Bought it from FCPEuro, and it came in a factory Volvo box with clear instructions included in the box on how to remove the cubby hole and install the cupholder. Took maybe 15 minutes to swap them out.

NIGHTMARE! I install a new lower steering column u-joint in my 2006 XC70. Fiddled with installing the lower bolt forever with limited access. Couldn't get the bolt in and it kept falling into the engine pan or driveway. THEN discovered that the part was wrong, it didn't have a secondary 1/4 recess where steering rack stud is received. So the bolt was not passing into the cutout in the steering rack stud that I couldn't see! Spend another hour grinding out hole with my dremel tool! Online site stated it was the right part. So mad.
Got it in. Tight spots in steering are gone. BTW I did try the lube technique with some success.

No. It's actually something I found at Walmart so I could use the Bluetooth on my phone and have it play through an unused FM channel on the factory radio. It works pretty well, and is a lot cheaper than any other way of connecting Bluetooth to the factory radio.

I've read about that before, aren't you supposed to change a corresponding part along with it.?Skymongrel wrote: ↑28 May 2021, 10:07 NIGHTMARE! Installed a new Volvo starter from FCPEuro today. Was a little difficult with the dowel pin sticking on the old starter and had to tap it out gently with a sledge hammer. Then had to tap the new one back in. Hopefully all is well with it now. Still have to button up the rest of it, and make sure everything is tightened down right, then I'm hoping it'll start right up like it should.
Update: Just finished buttoning everything up. I hear a click now after the car starts up and is running for a few minutes. I don't know if the new starter is sticking and the click I hear is it pulling the gear back from the flexplate or if it's something else. It's a loud enough click that I can hear it in the car with it running and all the windows up. It's not arcing anywhere, and it's too loud to be a relay. Any thoughts on what it might be? If it is the gear sticking will it correct itself or am I going to have to pull the starter out, check it, and put it back in? The starter is as flush mounted as the old one was, and the bolts are tight. I did notice the new starter doesn't have the two studs on the rear of it that my old one did the mounted to a bracket and the bracket bolted to the block.

Picked up the V70 from the indie shop. He replaced cracked hoses on the EVAP system. That cured the CEL.
I just didn't feel like rolling around the concrete floor for this.
