Don't be so sure. They used better steel back then. We had a 1949 International KB100 that was sunk almost to the top of the wheels. Somebody wanted it. We told him if he can get it out it is yours. He got it out. Restored and customized it. Other then some surface rust the steel was fine.

He dug two trenches one on each side. Use them to remove the soil from under. Dug a short ramp in the front and pulled it out.
He was nice enough to fill the hole when he was finished.
