Looks like history is repeating itself as FCP has begun to follow the 2023 pattern of sales. They're offering 5% off $250+ using the code DRIVE5. It's not clear when this ends. It's not an amazing sale compared to their others but it's still something.

July 4th is a great day for sales at FCP and usparts.volvocars.com. It's like the Black Friday of Summer.

The sale just got a little better and worse. It's now a tiered discount of up to 5% off (worse) but starts the lower threshold of $200 (better). It's $10 off $200+, $25 off $500+, $50 off $1000+ using the code SPRINGSAVE. Keep your order total near the tier thresholds for maximum savings, or wait for a better sale for those big orders.

Too bad I just ordered $250 across three orders, missing this and the previous sale. I'm a little off my game.

Edit 5/21/24 - The coupon is still active over a month later. If only I needed more than $100 worth of parts.

The FCP sale just doubled in value. Their Spring sale transitioned into a Summer sale, seemingly with no break in between. It's now a tiered discount of up to 10% off when you keep your order close to the tier thresholds. Get $20 off $200+, $50 off $500+, $100 off $1000+ using code SUMMERFIX.

Now I've got to find more parts needed for the P3 XC70 I'm fixing in order to hit the $200 threshold. 10% off is a fine deal.

The Summer sale has rebranded as an Independence Day sale with the same tiered <10% off. Get $20 off $200+, $50 off $500+, $100 off $1000+ using code FOURTHFIXIT until 7/8/24. I didn't see a break between the Summer and Fourth sales, but I wasn't checking closely. This tells me you should be waiting for ~10% off on big planned projects or your paying too much.

The constant FCP sale just cut in half after Independence Day, dropping to <5% off orders over $200. Get $10 off $200+, $25 off $500+, $50 off $1000+ using code WRENCHEURO. The sales were better last year in July and August offering flat 5% off a minimum order, unlike these tiered offers where the discount percentage quickly falls as you exceed the tier minimum. Consider waiting on big orders until Labor Day.

FCP is offering their Labor Day sale, offering up to 20% off certain products, no code required. I'm not sure when it started but it ends 9/3/24. It's nice that there's no minimum spend, so place your small orders now. A few parts waiting in my cart are marked down so I may buy them now.

FCP is offering their Spring Kickoff Sale from 3/10/25 through 3/17/25. It requires no coupon code and applies to many but not all products. I'm seeing 5% to 10% off things that I need. This is easier than trying to hit but not exceed spend thresholds to maximize percentage discount. I've got a bunch of urgent projects so I'll be buying, glad to get this easy discount.

Public service announcement: They say inflation is coming. In 2022, inflation drove up the prices on parts from FCP consistently throughout the year. It came to a point where I bought thousands of dollars of parts long before I needed them just to avoid paying more later. I'm pretty sure that paid off. So buy early, especially on sale.

I was busy at the end of 2024 so didn't watch for sales. My list on the first page is intended to watch for patterns of sales (hint: the start in April and run all summer, best on Independence Day). It has a gap, but it's only an estimate, so I hope it still helps.
