My biggest fear is the quality of OEM replacement parts. I can see a real scenario where the basic design and technology of the cars is identical but the OEM parts suppliers become worse than Scan Tech.

Isn't most everything already made there anyway? 
I'm looking at replacing an axle I bought at the dealer AGAIN 2 years later because it's making noise and looks like the CV boot's got a tear in it...again.
My cell phone has been no better, I'm already on my 2nd replacement under warranty since July.
Maybe they need to hire some Apple quality control people over there...

Like products from anywhere you can get great stuff made in China and crud stuff. The real key is making sure the stuff you are getting is coming out of the front door of the factory rather than the products that do not pass QC which sometimes make their way out on the grey market. Just have to trust the distributor and seller.
