Converting to turbo?

Help, Advice and DIY Tutorials on Volvo's P80 platform cars -- Volvo's 1990s "bread and butter" cars -- powered by the ubiquitous and durable Volvo inline 5-cylinder engine.

At 4 of my local yards, a long block is normally $179. On the half price days, which they do once a month, it will cost you about $90 + $45 core for a complete long block. They always have several 850 Turbos to choose from.

Yeah, this is a very regional thing. East coast and west coast you can get one pretty cheap, most other places it will take some searching and for sure more $$ to come up with something acceptable.

ah yes, the pick'n'pull. unfortunately i find very few P80 cars there, and i've never seen a turbo.

but you're right - if i find a 99+ turbo at a pick'n'pull here, my line is the line for the hoist on half-off day.
