Makes me feel real good about the S70 I just bought a couple months ago. Doesn't get the 35-40+ mpg that my Honda Del sol gets but then the Del sol would be a pancake after an impact like that.

You mentioned tools? Any of the spare tire tie down or clamp / lug wrench stuff. I am in piedmont NC so may even be close enought for a face to face transaction.

Thanks
Doug

I was very concerned by the fact that my dealer wanted more than $500 CDN to replace the entire unit as they told me that was the only way to fix a broken lens. Well, 1/2 hour after receiving the replacement lens my S70's glasses were back to normal!

That's OK. I have done a bit of business with IPD and feel more comfortable going back to them. I'm a big guy and won't cry....

I think she would've been injured worse if she was driving anything else. Speaking of Nissan's and wrecks, here are some links to some pics of a Nissan that crashed into the tree in our front yard at 35 mph a couple months ago. It happened at about 7:30 in the AM and needless to say, it woke me up. The driver of the car died on the way to the hospital.

Huh, only 35 MPH? Looks like at least 50 mph.

The Volvo pics and the radio are the only thing keeping our '94 850 in our driveway.
It's a question of the Physics the impact force generated by the weight of the objects involved in the collision. I saw a Discovery documentry about railroad crossing-runners (crazy pedestrians and drivers). A 100-ton cargo train was travelling at a mere 5 mph when it side-ended an 18-wheeler stuck on the tracks. In the narrator's words, what was a fierce, imtimidating rig on the highway gets pushed out of the way by the freight train, as if it was just a children's toy.
