Sweet ride!! Very well kept for a 140,000 miles on her, I'm guessing she was just as well kept mechanically.

Just like a car in way less than ideal shape brings less than those published AVERAGE values, an extremely nice, much better than excellent example will bring more.
I have never bought even an excellent condition used car that I wouldn't already know I needed to do a few at least minor things to. If JRL had a car I wanted and it had his above average attention to detail repairs done, I'd know I probably would have NOTHING to do to it and I'd pay more, much more maybe, for it.
BUT many of us here are looking for the STEAL of a DEAL so we can get in there and fix it because we want the "fun" of doing and we're too dang cheap to think of paying someone else. If we put a dollar value on our time making wrecks pristine again we'd likely find we have JRL's excellent + price in the restored wrecks.

I don't sell anything unless I go over it completely

Remember I also use gennie Volvo parts for the most part and those cost me only 5 to 10% over dealer cost, and my labor rate is only about $30-$35 for most of the time unless I HAVE to go to the dealer for something that I can't do here.

Otherwise I could not afford to buy these older Volvos anymore... as they all need a lot of work by now

My apologies to the members: I should have stopped this shouting match well before it got here. I'm going to go back and edit it, and speak to the participants.

EDIT

Edits made. SpeedyPete and JRL's accounts have been suspended for a week for violating rules regarding civility here on MVS.

Additionally, new rules -- suggested by JRL no less -- will be implemented in the two For Sale / Wanted forums. Essentially, I will not tolerate price arguments. If you think something is too expensive, don't buy it ;-). But do not comment on it.
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.

Also -> Amazon link
. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!
