Re: is this a safe pressure for the ac?
I am talking about the blower motor not the fan. i turned on the ac button while leaving the blower at 0. would this freeze up the valve. making it cycle on and off? otherwise i must have a leak then. i don't see no leaks at that big hose going to the canister on car that holds r134. If it is a leak its a pretty fast one. I hope its not at there core. guess ill try to add some more r134a. and see if it drains again. Hope its not shot! the evaporator. Anyways i was just hope'd that running the ac without the blower motor a.c fan, it might of froze up the tube/valve. But now i think it lost some coolant, I have no clue ill recharge and see how long she last i guess.

AC compressor won't actually turn on unless the fan is running. Sounds like you've got a pretty big leak.

I added a 18 oz can witch says it has 15 oz. then a 10 oz can i think. so i dunno maybe it wasn't enough. I was charging it at 65 degrees F. So i dunno my dad got a tank of r134a in his garage i will fill her up and check her every now and then to see whats going on. Is it usually that big hose that connects to the canister that leaks? If its not the evaporator? That would suck cause the a/c unit its self is OK and runs when it does have coolant and blows cold so i dunno. Is there a release valve on these 94 850 turbo if the pressure gets to high it automatically releases the coolant?

R-22 is not a suitable automotive AC refrigerant...For a target temperature of about 35 degrees in the car's evaporator, R-22 wants to be at a pressure of 58psi...This sounds great, but it is not...At that suction pressure, the head pressure is in the vicinity of 350psi...It would destroy the compressor in short order if it were allowed to continue...If the pressure in this system were lowered to a suction pressure of 35psi, the pressure that R-134 runs at, the evaporator temperature would be 13 degrees and would most certainly freeze up...I don't think that this pressure would be attainable in an automotive system using R-22...Fortunately, I think the fellow got it out of the system before any damage was done...He noticed that the compressor was complaining...It would have robbed the engine of horse power with a drastic drop in gas mileage...
R-22 is used in window air conditioners...They are hermetically sealed systems with no disconnectable fittings, therfore no "O" rings...All tube connections are silver soldered (brazed)...The compressor itself is in a sealed container and there are no rotary shaft seals to leak...I believe that if this car were continually used with the R-22 in there, it would have eventually blown out the compressor's clutch shaft seal...

OK it was my b-day the other day and my girl bought me 10 oz can of r134a with sealer. And my dad had a pretty much full can of r134a. So i put both cans in, and its holding the gas and the compressor is not shutting of with load and is blowing cold air out. I put it in last night around 4-5 and this morning at like 730 i tested it real quick and was still blowing cool air and cycling with load, so i will keep testing it and see if it looses gas and report back. God i hope this works, its been really hot here in CT!

You should really stop messing with your A/C system. Spend a month learning about it, then decide whether you'd like to do this repair properly or not.
There is/was a leak that you have not repaired and have thrown various amounts (and types!) of refrigerant and oil into the system. Literally every piece SHOULD be removed, cleaned, and resealed with new o-rings. It does not sound like you are concerned with the long term reliability of it though. Too much oil is a bad thing and it's completely unknown how much is in your system right now.
Btw, happy birthday and nice gift
She certainly knew what you wanted!

my power stage on my blower broke today as i turned on the ac for the first time this summer. It started working, was nice and cool and then i realize the cool is gone, i looked and the fan was of and the lights were blinking! (i new i should of lubed the fan lol) anyways now i have to buy the new power stage and blower motor. And yes the cans i last added and will continue to add will just be regular ones without oil cause i bet there's allot of oil with all the crap that was in my a/c ahahahah. Anyways this came at a bad time cause now the repairs are piling and its gonna cost like 1500 for all the parts to fix her back to nice shape so i dunno what to do here. I love the car the turbo engine and transmission are ok. just got so much other work. fix the lifer noise (o rings) do the timing belt and water pump (overdue and leaking making noise) full suspension, axles starting to click, and yea those are a few of the jobs that need to be done o yea and full breaks and fix the e break and the cruise control, and then u got all the interior stuff and body work stuff lol its crazy.
