Crime of opportunity means kids, not pros. Car is parked in a Walmart lot somewhere where kids left it, waiting to be found.

I had basic liability on it, so no insurance money coming for the theft (not found) or damage (if found). I'll probably look for a turbo P80 wagon in earnest tomorrow.
Well, if you don't find it, I have a (it will be very soon) nice Boston Coach (rear heated seats) 99 V70GLT with LOW miles (88K)

My wife's full import Mitsubishi Scorpion coupe (I think it could be your Dodge Sapparo) was stolen from outside our own home about 15 years ago. It was a Japanese grey import with throttle body injection, trip computer and electric windows as well as Japanese plastic bumpers. It was found a week later about 20 kms away parked in a primary school carpark over the holidays.

So the principal came back from holidays and noticed that this strange car was there the next morning then the next morning again. Finally he called the police. It may have stayed there for weeks had it been season holidays.

According to the neighbours across the street it had been there since the night of the theft....just joyriders.

It's usually afew days until someone bothers to call the cops when a car looks out of place and is there far too long. Something tells me it will turn up.

It was found Saturday night. Condition unknown. It's now in the Denver impound lot, and the plates are gone.

To let the car off the lot, the lot operators require a licensed car. I will go to the DMV tomorrow to get new plates (only $8), and -- the Car Spirits willing -- will drive it home. There may be an impound lot fee.

Well,

It sounds like to me we have some semi-good news here. The other half obviously would be to get her back in the same shape as she was when she was kidnapped.

Worst case scenario, if it turns that there may a few things that she may need, I'm sure all of us here have more than a couple extra parts laying around we 'd be willing to donate to you.

Let us know how all goes and what you hopefully don't need.
