Hello: I have had 2 sets of stock rotors and pads (about 20k out of each set) the rotors warped on both sets (stock crap) then went to Brembo rotors and semi metalic pads for the 3rd set (about 40k miles) before warpage again, so onward to Zimmerman Rotors and semi metalic pads for another 40k or so before warpage that got me to 120k milage. So now I am running Brake Performance Premium slotted/dimpled Rotors and pads. I have 60k currently on these and still have 50% life on them with no warpage. Check out Break Performance.com. American made and I am very pleased with them so much so I am running them on both my Ford and Dodge trucks also.

If you are buying the more upscale pads rotors make sure you check your contents before departing a brick and mortar store to avoid any unscrupulous customer switching issues

They fit fine, no squeal, and stop fine, (ABS kicks in).

Time will tell.

Just IMHO, quality of after market parts has gotten better, I remember my old 240s, if I didnt buy Volvo OEM pads, any after market wouldnt fit exactly right, and or would squeal. Today you wonder if whats on the box is just a label.
I havent changed the brakes on my v70 yet but I use advanced on my family Caravan and I havent had any issues. Although I did just replace all my rotors and pads with Calhan Rotors and ceramic pads off of amazon. as well as a right front caliper.

My factory trained indy uses modest amounts on those parts, I wouldn't quite say "sparingly," but he REALLY slathers it onto the back of the pads. Thicker than I apply shaving gel.

+1 for the Akebono ceramic on these cars. Outstanding performance by all measures.

I'm running them on the Zimmerman drilled, chamfered, coated rotors.
