Umm,............no..........,umm,....I screwed up!
To avoid damaging them in the swap, and gain a wee bit more room, I removed them to keep them nice and safe. I just didn't get them back seated correctly!
Took for a drive tonight about 70 miles or so. Went to the car wash, got the $12.00 job and used the free vacuum for about 30 minutes, then rode to another town to eat some ribs, then rode some more, yada yada. Big improvement over the 850 wagon! The wife likes this one too, it's paid for, it runs great, tires almost new, brakes new. All is well!
Oh yeah, I didn't use an ECM tool. That was the trouble! I removed the wire base from the box, then released the slides with a screwdriver. Put them back in the same way, I just wasn't pushing the slide locks to a full seated position!

The old adage applies here. What did I touch and did I fully ensure it was put back in the same place.
However an engine swap has that rule applied in 101 different places so it's easy to leave something undone. Glad you're enjoying the new steed. The 2.5T is a nice ride.
