Great thread! I agree to post mileage for original engine and tranny. Technically you can keep any car on the road forever if you keep rebuilding the engine and tranny.
I might have the lowest miles for a 850:
97 850 GLT: 100k miles
98 S70 T5: 138k miles
Both running strong. Keep em coming!

My Volvo may not be winning the mileage poll, but my 1994 850 T5 has 156,000 miles on the original engine and transmission. I hope to enjoy it for many more years to come. Great car to work on!

A lot of parts are still original, including the engine and transmission. I've just done scheduled maintenance and replaced lots of smaller things as they've gone worn out - the ABS module and engine mounts most recently. I've had only had it for five years, but the previous owner had records for what looked like pretty thorough maintenance, so I probably have him to thank for it lasting this long.If that's any indication, hopefully you can expect a lot more out of your car.
*I remember the number because that's what it was at when the odometer stopped working last month. It still runs great, and now the miles don't count anymore (at least until I fix tackle that fix).

I have a 850T that just crossed 200k last week.
It has a solid and clean body, no rust, intact polar white with shine and gloss.
I have work to do on her, but I run with her with high octane and keep her oil clean, and she runs with excellent power, no smoke out the pipe.

I suggest we change the title to show some love for the better looking S70s.
