For sure replace the two rubber coolant hoses for the turbo, but otherwise you should be good.

The oil feed and return are not usually service items, haven't heard of issues with them. The other gasket to replace for sure is both ends on the oil return line, the paper one at the turbo and the o-ring style one where it drains into the oil pan.

I have the gasket and the o-ring for the return line.

When you say rubber hoses for the coolant lines, are you talking about the two short rubber hoses? The one to the left of the turbo near the firewall and the other slightly bent hose under the turbo (sort of). Picture is below because I am doing a terrible job of explaining. If those are what you mean, I just replaced them a few weeks ago. The only original hoses I have left on the car are the radiator hoses.

Lookin' good, those are the ones.

Oh, for the turbo out of the car, check the diaphragm on the CBV. Hold it up to the light, make sure there are no cracks you can see light through. Very common for those to leak at this age.

I will definitely take a look at the CBV. The donor car I got the new turbo off is a 2004 C70 with 71,000 miles. It is in pretty good shape with no indications of oil issues or shaft play or anything like that. I am tempted to have it rebuilt at a local turbo shop before I put it in, but I am not sure if I will or not.

My car currently has angle flange 16T, so the new (to me) turbo will bolt right up to the downpipe I have.

A 16t with only 71k should be bulletproof for at least another 100k, that's great. I am not expert on turbos, have messed with them enough to know shaft play that's about it. If it seems good, with such low mileage I would install and see how it goes. These turbos are very hardy.

My concern is preventing the new one from failing which is why I wanted to check to see if I should be replacing oil lines, ect. I am going to give them all a good soak in some cleaner, clean the banjo bolts and install it. It will be nice if I can stop blowing big blue clouds whenever I get my foot in it.

I have limited experience with turbos as well. I did have to pull the one off my boat and that involved standing on your head and using an extra arm, so I think removing this one should be easier by comparison.

The reason the PO was on the 2nd turbo is that it wasn't properly cared for. I have seen these cars with over 350,000 miles on the original turbo.

LOL, yeah, usually on these cars, the reason there is a second turbo is because someone replaced the first one even though it was still just fine!

My goal is less turbo replacement, so I will check to make sure everything is in order before I drop the new one in.
