I am kind of confused now. For ETM reload, do I need Vida too? or just Dice is enough. If they both are needed, I have to go back and wrestling with the installation because they are not connected and my virtual machine started to be cranky now.

Today I tried to get the ECM number in case Mr. Doublebug contact back. The numbers are very difficult to read because all prints are almost gone. Here is the picture.Image

The best I can get is 079700 8711 or 079700 87M

They're not the ECM SOFTWARE numbers. They are the hardware PART numbers. My PM explains to you which menus in Vida to use. Did you receive it?

Have you PMed Henry? He will read the car and work out what you need. His system can read your ECM software numbers over the internet and through your Dice tool WITHOUT VIDA running.

Join Skype and use this in real time to speak with him. Same user name.

Mike, I just got a response from Henry. I will join Skype and prepare my laptop today.

I have not use Vida yet because my Vida was on another computer which I thought that they can not communicate, can they?

I don't really know what you mean. You can't practically use a Dice on one computer and Vida on another unless you are a networking guru.

Sorry Mike, probably I did not pick up the whole idea. and I assumed from this statement that with Dice alone (without Vida) was a sufficient tool to fix ETM.
For this you don't need Vida however the Dice must be recognised in Device Manager.
So, I installed Dice alone on another computer since the one I was trying (with Vida) was on virtual machine which I was not familiar with. That was the whole story.

Now I am trying to install them in one computer. and hope the installation is complete.

The 2 software numbers at the bottom. Give them to Henry and he'll match appropriate ETM software numbers to suit.

As I said Henry could read your car's ECM numbers remotely and all you need to do is have the Dice running though you've saved him some time.

The rest is up to Henry and you to work out times when you can get together online.

-Update on the situation.

There was a hick-up during ETM reload with Henry. Now the dice has to travel back to seller. Without dice, the only choice left is Xemodex.

I am just so curious about the unit. So, before it will be sent to xemodex, I disconnected the battery from the car, and connect directly to the etm(with Sacer). The etm whines and then performs flip flop and stop . I measured voltage location 1 (black) and 3(red). with multimeter, it shows .654 V. I moved the butterfly plate to fully open and put something to hold and measure again . it still shows .654 V.

I did the same to measure between 1 and 2. it shows 2.13 when it is closed and open.

I just want to find out how close of voltages the magnet tps gives when compared with all the numbers I 'v read on this board. Those numbers are not even close .

Did I measure the wrong locations?

You must have tension between Sacer's VERY weak brass leads and the ETM terminals. They bend very easily every time you test for voltage. You should have between 1.3 and 1.55 volts when throttle flap is closed between 1 and 3.

That voltage increases with throttle opening.
