1998 S70 T5 PCV relief?

Is this tread real? I feel like this is myth busters for Volvo's.

Tons of PCV's are bad and need/have been serviced with NO effect on the turbo.
A super clogged PCV will dump oil into the turbo and pour smoke out the exhaust, my GLT was like this when I got it.
That did NOT damage the turbo, just blew oil through the piping.

I just pulled the 15G turbo from my '96 the other day. It has 270k miles on it. 150K of those with a manual boost control set to 14PSI! It still worked great. No shaft play and the blades look good. I did have to replace the "blow off" valve diaphragm a few yeas back because it was torn and making weak boost. It has developed some oil leakage from the seals, but that can be remedied with a Mitsubishi rebuild

Sure. I am not defending the dealership, just trying to explain to OP why the turbo might be in the conversation.
